New Frontiers in Health Policy Conference: Health Policy in a Time of Transformation

The McMaster Health Policy PhD Program is pleased to announce our annual graduate student conference, New Frontiers in Health Policy, which will be held virtually on November 23, 24, and 25, 2020 and hosted by McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

Oct 20, 2020

Our conference theme this year is “Health Policy in a Time of Transformation.” 2020 has been a year of upheaval and overdue reckoning, as decision-makers confront both novel threats and entrenched barriers to health. But while health policy can respond to transformative change, it can also enable transformation. In our current moment and beyond, health policies that are resilient to crises, radically equitable, and rooted in evidence provide avenues for change.

We will have  an expert panel on “Mobilizing knowledge to transform health inequities” on November 25th. Panelists will be announced soon! Subsequent sessions will include student oral presentations and symposia. We aim to foster a lively and supportive environment for discussion and constructive feedback on student research and works-in-progress.

A full conference program will be available in October. As a graduate student-led conference, registration for all is free. The deadline for registration is November 22nd, 2020. Please click here to register.
